Hi everybody. My situation is a bit particular so bear with me, please. I am a French-Canadian person, i do not like defining myself with labels of gender or age, so i consider myself non-binary. I am married to the love of my life, a very brilliant man, who unfortunately has a very severe mental illness. I have seen him devolve into madness year after year. 2 years ago he left for Europe (i live in Canada) and though we are in contact, i have not seen him in person for two years now. I am loyal and resilient person in my relationship. I had to be so strong, to withstand the chaos, unpredictability, and just craziness of loving a person with unmedicated schizophrenia. I still love him and will never abandon him or divorce him. (We’ve been together for 10 years). But right now i find myself at a point in my life where, even if i am independent and i enjoy doing most things alone, i sometimes wish i had a partner to share things with. I am in no hurry and am basically just testing the waters to see who else is out there. I know my situation is unusual; get used to it, everything about me is. I decided to use an international site because the world is wide and there are so many interesting people on this planet. As a Youtuber, i watch and follow fascinating people from all over the world. I also find that there is often more to share with someone from a different culture than your own. My 1st language is Québec French but i am fully fluent in English, i know basic Japanese and have notions of Russian, Italian, Korean & a few other languages. I love travelling and exploring the world, with my cat or own my own. I am looking for something serious. To me gender and age are not really important - it’s about a connection between 2 people. Of course, mutual attraction is essential and so are common values such as respect, open & clear communication, loyalty, forgiveness & patience. |
